About the Role
As an Inventory / Management Accountant Assistant, you will work closely with the Finance Manager, assist with ad hoc accounts tasks such as invoice processing, general ledger reconciliation, fixed assets management, and support different departments in the office when needed.
Duties include but not limited to:
Purchase Ledger -
Coding, Matching and Processing high volumes of purchase invoices Dealing with complex supplier queries and reconciliation of supplier statements Handling & processing unresolved queries Assisting with all aspects of Accounts Payable processes Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers Process weekly payment run with accuracy and in a timely manner
Fixed Assets -
accountable for recording the cost of newly acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible) tracking existing fixed assets recording depreciation accounting for the disposition of fixed assets carry out store audit visit
General Ledger -
General Ledger reconciliation tasks Reconciliations & monthly postings to GL
Stock Control -
To ensure that all goods-in from suppliers and inter-branch transfers are accurately processed onto the system. To ensure that goods-out to other branches / customers are accurately recorded onto the system. Complete stock reconciliations system Prepare weekly and monthly reports on stock levels, stock accuracy, and stock adjustments including Shrinkage and Wastage. Monitor stock movements among branches. Maintain and update a stock control issues to highlight identified problems mainly fresh items. Preparation of stock-takes and work with the managers to ensure regular cycle counts are conducted to minimize stock loss. Conducting investigations into external and internal stock loss. Conduct regular audits into stock loss and instances of fraud. Work closely with Store Managers to identify areas of risk or loss. Other reasonable requests from management
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience in Accounts environment is essential Strong computer literacy Stock control / inventory experience and experience of working with ERP systems is desirable Proven administration skills Good communication skills at all levels Excellent prioritisation, continuation, and organisational skills Part ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualified is desirable Excellent telephone manner A friendly personality and a team player Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese is desirable A hard-working attitude and commitment to completing workloads within deadlines Must have the right to work in the UK (without sponsorship)
